“Evening in the Winter Salon & Morning in the Dining Room”

After dinner drinks in the Winter Salon gave us the perfect opportunity to continue our lively conversations. Tea, coffee, and other drinks were served in beautiful china, alongside the glasses I had gifted to Stephanie and Phillip. It was a cozy evening filled with laughter, deep discussions, and the occasional antics of Lancelot, their dog, who kept us entertained (and whom we sadly learned passed away a few months after our visit). Surrounded by the warmth of the room, the night was both comforting and full of good company.

Both of these moments – after dinner in the Winter Salon and breakfast in the dining room the next morning – flowed seamlessly from one to the other. The dining table was once again set beautifully, bathed in the soft morning light. It was a joy to sit and drink coffee, savoring the huge, fresh croissants, and enjoy the spread of fresh food.

For my scrapbook pages, I used Stampin’ Up! Mixed Media DSP to reflect the colors in both rooms: green for the Winter Salon and blue for the dining room table and China. The Spotlight on Nature dies helped highlight the titles of each page, and the combination of Granny Apple and Boho Blue cardstock was the perfect match for the colors. What tied both pages together was the Country Woods DSP, and I used the coordinating ink colors to stamp in each corner with the Tiled Techniques stamp set. To fill in the white space, I added dots using the Stampin Write markers. I cut out the journaling box using the Grow With Love die. For the journal lines, I stamped with CTMH Noted Backgrounds in Early Espresso, bringing the whole design together beautifully.
