“Inspired by the Winter Salon: A Creative Reflection”

After our day trip to town, we spent some time unwinding in the Winter Salon. The room, painted in a deep green, was bathed in the golden glow of the chandelier, casting a warm, inviting light throughout the space. Gold fabric elegantly covered the furniture, reflecting the room’s warmth, while vibrant paintings adorned the walls, their gilded frames rich with history. The scent of aged wood mingled with the fresh spring air drifting in from outside.

Books, games, whimsical statues, and keepsakes filled the shelves, adding a touch of charm to the room. It was a place where time seemed to slow, wrapped in the quiet luxury of a bygone era.

Inspired by the rich wood tones and the vibrant colors of the salon, I decided to create a layout using Country Woods paper from Stampin’ Up! and a mix-in paper from my Close To My Heart stash. I used stickers from the CTMH Skylark sticker sheet and stamped along the bottom with the Tile Technique stamp set, using CTMH Linen ink. For the border at the top, I added a touch of the Elements of Text stamp. Tags with more Elements of Text, stamped in SU Early Espresso, were added for extra texture. The journaling at the bottom was typed on a clear Avery Shipping label and printed, completing the nostalgic feel of the layout.
